Dr. Jonathan Ramachenderan is a Pain Medicine Specialist and Palliative Care Generalist. He works in Palliative Care at Joondalup Health Campus and Murdoch Hospice. He also consults at Pain Science, seeing patients in Murdoch, Joondalup and monthly in Albany.

He is a Visiting Pain Specialist at Murdoch and Mount Lawley SJOG and Ramsay Private at Joondalup Health Campus.

He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia and enjoys teaching students, junior doctors and trainees. He is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles and is researching the impact of spirituality in Palliative Care.

In 2023, following his interest in Pain Medicine and sensing the change in his medical season, Jonathan moved with his family to Perth to begin training as a Pain Specialist, completing a Fellowship in Pain Medicine with a focus on Interventional Pain Procedures in 2024-5. Jonathan has an interest in cancer pain management, pain management in older adults and at the end-of-life, rural and regional provision of chronic pain management and the spiritual dimension of medicine.
