About
Dr Lovibond is a Cardiologist, who has been a consultant cardiologist since 2018. He offers all aspects of adult general cardiology and has a special interest in heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia and the implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Following graduation from the University of Tasmania with honours in 2009 he completed Physician and Cardiology Training in Melbourne, followed by a 2-year fellowship in interventional heart failure at the Alfred Hospital. He has achieved Certified Cardiac Device Specialist status through the Heart Rhythm Society (USA) and also holds a post-graduate qualification in Clinical Education from the University of Melbourne.
Dr Lovibond is a a fellow of the RACP and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He remains actively involved in cardiovascular research and education, presenting at scientific meetings in Australia and internationally, with publications in both national and international peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals.
He focuses on individualised evidence based care takes time to involve the patient and their family in their healthcare journey.
