Mr Ba Nguyen is a fellowship-trained specialist colorectal and general surgeon consulting in
Heidelberg, with rooms at 50 Mount Street, conveniently located close to Warringal Private Hospital
and Austin Health.

Mr Nguyen has particular expertise in bowel cancer surgery, hernia repair, anorectal conditions and
diagnostic endoscopy, and is trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted (da
Vinci) surgical techniques.

Professional Background

Mr Nguyen received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2003 and completed
Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. He then completed Advanced
Surgical Training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and was awarded Fellowship in General Surgery
by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. He also holds a Master of Surgery (Surgical
Sciences) from the University of Sydney.

Following fellowship, he was appointed Staff Specialist Surgeon and Clinical Superintendent in
Surgery at Westmead Hospital before completing a further two years of post-fellowship colorectal
training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).
